Hello Bruce Families!
The transition to fall is here, but hopefully the warm weather will stay around for a while longer, especially for the cross country team. Speaking of the team, they deserve congratulations on finishing in 3RD overall, despite not having a full grade 8 team. Meets are Monday and Thursday this week and we wish them the best at both!
On Wednesday we will be doing our annual Terry Fox run and we are asking parents to consider sending your child with a “Toonie for Terry” to help support the fight against Cancer. All proceeds go to support cancer research.
Don’t forget that this Thursday is the Meet the Teacher Picnic from 4:30-6:30pm on a drop in basis, so come and go as you wish. Come for pizza and a drink on the front lawn, meet some great people and find out more about what the year has in store for your child. Parent Council AGM held be held at 6:30 in the Library following.
And speaking of pizza…this week we will restart pizza Fridays as we have in the past. Orders are placed and paid for with homeroom teachers on Thursday with pizza being delivered on Friday at lunchtime. Pizza can be bought for $2.50 a slice and pop for a dollar.
