This Thursday, January 11, the grade 8 students and staff will be going to Sturgeon Heights Collegiate to attend their first Student Success Expo. This is a school-wide event to celebrate their students, the work they do, and the skills they have. It is a combination of an exposition, a convention, a Science Fair, and a mini Skills Manitoba competition all mixed together! Sturgeon Heights students will showcase the work they have done during the first semester of the year. The experience will give Bruce students the opportunity to visit the stations and displays, ask questions, and participate in some great activities!
It is hoped that through this experience, our students will gain a better understanding of the programs offered at the high school level. This new knowledge will be valuable when students register February 9.
Please make sure your child is dressed warmly on Thursday as we will walk to Sturgeon Heights. Students will report to their homerooms as per usual for Literacy time. Attendance will be taken and then at 1:45 we will walk over to Sturgeon Heights. At 3:00 we will collect, take attendance and then return to Bruce.
