Grad Parent Meeting

​Please note there will be a very important meeting for parents/guardians of 2027 grads on Tuesday September 15th at 6:30 pm in the Westwood Theatre. A representative from each family must attend as very important information with be shared for the upcoming grad year as well as information on how to stay up to date on all grad activities in the 2026-27 grad year. 

Please take note of some important dates and timelines for our 2027 Grads

1) Throughout the year – Safe grad fundraisers TBA – Events could include a steak night, trivia night, raffles, 50/50, etc.

2) Late Sept and Oct – Fall Fair at Shelmerdine.

3) November 23 - 26 – Grad Photos and Grad Gown Rentals. Sign up for times will be online using the LifeTouch portal via a link on our Westwood website. Grad photos ($45 sitting fee) and gown rental costs for convocation ($35) will be collected during this time using school cash online.

4) February 12 – Grad Photo retakes.

5) April 27 – Info session regarding convocation, grad dinner ticket purchasing and safe grad. Daytime meeting for students followed by 6pm evening meeting for parents. Will also include a presentation by the LGCA about the importance of parent run safe grad events.

6) May 26 – 28 – Grad Dinner ticket seat selection. Pre-purchasing the tickets using the online portal starting May 1st, with the actual seat selection taking place in person on these dates – price TBA in the New Year. There will be several forms available at the April meeting to be completed by grads and their guardians.

7) End of May/beginning of June – Fundraiser: Grad Car Wash. Will take place on a Saturday at the end of May from 10am to 3pm at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Portage.

8) June 25 at 10am in the Westwood Gym – Grad Convocation Rehearsal, mandatory for all grads. Please be sure to return any late textbooks and library books before this time. Rehearsal time 1 hour.

9) June 28 - Grad Convocation – Centennial Concert Hall, Students arrive 8am, service begins 9am. Tickets available using the Concert Hall's online system to be explained at future meeting.

10) June 29 - Grad Dinner/Safe Grad – Victoria Inn. Doors open 5pm, dinner 6pm, safe grad immediately follows. Please remember ID and form of payment
