Hello Westwood Community,

We’re excited to welcome you to another exciting year at Westwood Collegiate! As the newest member of the Westwood team, I’m honored to join a school known for its commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community spirit.

With over 30 years of experience in the St. James School Division, as a teacher, math coordinator, vice-principal, and principal, I have a deep commitment to student success, and a strong belief in fostering a welcoming and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued and supported.

At Westwood, we believe that education is a partnership. When families and schools work together, students thrive. We encourage parents and guardians to stay actively involved and to reach out to their child’s teachers, or connect with myself or our vice-principals, Mr. Scott Dempster and Ms. Barb Engel, with any questions or concerns.

From sports teams and arts programs to clubs and school trips, Westwood offers countless opportunities for students to grow, connect, and explore beyond the classroom. These experiences help build lasting friendships and foster lifelong learning.

Westwood is proud of the strong relationships they’ve built with students, families, and the community. We strive to develop students who are respectful, hard-working, and knowledgeable. Our dedicated staff is here to guide and inspire every student to reach their full potential, academically, socially, and personally.
