We are excited to welcome students and families to another amzing year at Westwood Collegiate. It is a privilege to serve as Principal of a school recognized for its commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and strong community spirit.

With more than 30 years of experience in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division as a teacher, math coordinator, vice-principal, and principal, I am deeply committed to student success and to fostering a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and connected.

At Westwood, we believe education is a partnership. When families and schools work together, students thrive. We encourage parents and caregivers to stay actively involved in their child’s education and to connect with teachers, myself, or our vice-principals, Mr. Scott Dempster and Ms. Leslie Eyjolfson, whenever questions or concerns arise.

Beyond the classroom, Westwood offers a wide range of opportunities through athletics, the arts, clubs, leadership programs, and school trips. These experiences help students discover their passions, build meaningful relationships, and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
