Thursday April 23rd Day 3 

Congratulations - Congratulations to Sadie M. who was a nominee for the Top Sportswoman in the high school hockey league and the recipient of a scholarship for her impressive leadership skills and academic standing. Way to go, Sadie! 

Volunteers - We are looking for volunteers to help out with the junior musical, Beetlejuice from May 9-11. Please Mrs. Neufeld or Mr. Toms if you're interested in helping out.

Fire Drills – With the warmer weather approaching, we will be resuming our fire drills shortly. Please ensure you are familiar with the appropriate protocols so you are prepared.

Grad Meeting – A reminder of a very important meeting for all Grade 12 grads today during period 3. Even if you have a spare during this time, it is very important that you attend as it will include important topics such as Grad Dinner tickets, Safe Grad, Convocation and more.

Best Buddies – Best Buddies student volunteers have a quick meeting today at 12:05 in Room 111.

Student Council Elections - Nomination packages for the 2025-2026 Student Council Executive are now available for pick up in the office.

Rainbow Lounge - There will be a Rainbow Lounge today at noon in the drama room. All are welcome!

​BLOOD BUS - Are you interested in saving lives? Then stop by the blood booth at lunch this week and next week in front of the office, to sign up for Westwood's blood bus. You must be 17 years old. 


Wednesday April 22nd Day 3 

Grad Meeting – A reminder of a very important meeting for all Grade 12 grads on Thursday during period 3. Even if you have a spare during this time, it is very important that you attend as it will include important topics such as Grad Dinner tickets, Safe Grad, Convocation and more.

Best Buddies – Best Buddies student volunteers have a quick meeting on Thursday at 12:05 in Room 111.

Parking Lot – On Monday a person was sighted wandering through the parking lot looking to get into cars. Later in the day, a person matching the same description removed a guitar from a Lincoln staff member's car. Please don't leave anything of value (or visible) in your vehicle.

Student Council Elections - Nomination packages for the 2025-2026 Student Council Executive are now available for pick up in the office.

Art Contest - The St. James Assiniboia School Division's annual photography and digital art contests are on this month. Westwood students have been chosen to win great prizes in the past and we'd love to send in more great submissions this year. Even if you weren't in photography or graphic tech this year, you can still enter. If you've got something you'd like to submit, please email it to Mr. Robson or drop by room 210 at lunch.

Grads - Final call for graduates to fill out the yearbook survey and submit baby photos for inclusion in the yearbook. If we don't get a lot more baby photos in soon, the longstanding tradition won't be continuing this year. Email Mr. Robson or drop by room 210 at lunch to submit a photo or fill in the survey.

Rainbow Lounge - There will be a Rainbow Lounge meeting on Thursday at noon in the drama room. All are welcome!

Basketball – Any girls interested in playing basketball can come to a training session on today from 7:30 – 9:00.

 

Ultimate - Spring Ultimate try-outs are today from 3:30-5:30. No prior experience is necessary. Please see Ms. Klassen in Room 123 if you are interested in joining the Ultimate program this spring.

Tuesday April 21st Day 2 

PISA – Any Grade 10 students who received letters advising them they would be writing the PISA test today, you should already be in your testing location. Students will be writing in either the library or Room 121. Please ensure you report to the correct location. If you are not sure of your location, please ask your teacher, and they can check the speech bubble in your attendance.
