The Drama student of the month for the month of January is Ren Alvarez. Ren is a grade 10 student and in their second year in the drama program at Westwood. Ren displays an ability to portray believable characters that are interesting for their audience. Ren wrote and performed an original monologue that captivated their audience. Ren is a mature student who takes performing seriously and is always willing to share their ideas during the creative process. Everything from planning the staging and blocking of their scenes, to the considerations of props and costumes, Ren is constantly using their creative mind to create unique performances. Finally, Ren is an asset in the classroom on a daily basis. They bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to class. It is easy for their classmates to collaborate with them and they are dependable. Ren is quickly becoming a leader in the drama program here at Westwood. Congratulations Ren!
