School
attendance is a critical factor to a productive and successful school
career. All schools in St. James-Assiniboia actively promote and
encourage 100 per cent attendance for all our students. We encourage
parents/caregivers to be actively involved in promoting their child’s
attendance at school.

Attendance Expectations
- Students are expected to be prepared & on time for all of their classes.
- Students are expected to demonstrate positive effort within their classes & be engaged in their learning.
Late?- Knock on your classroom door

- Wait for a break in instruction to check-in with your teacher to ensure your attendance has been changed to LATE
Absences Hinder Your Progress- 3 absences in any ONE course will prompt contact home
- Several absences in any ONE or across multiple courses may result in a family meeting
- Ongoing absences will result in not receiving credit for the course
