Below is a list of the most common scholarships to which our students apply.  See the Guidance department for additional information.

Entrance Scholarship Information 2019-2020

The University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, Brandon University and University St. Boniface award entrance scholarships to students graduating from a Manitoba high school. The scholarships range from $800-$3,000 and the one criterion is academic excellence. To be eligible, students must submit a regular entrance application By specified deadline.

​December 1st, 2019​U of W Application Deadline – Based on Self-Reporting Grades
  • Considered for major and application required scholarship
  • Considered for special Entrance Scholarships
  • Priority course registration in the Fall
  • Considered for admission before the Christmas break
  • The university will request final grades from the school
​December 1st, 2019U of M - Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship Deadline
  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • School activities and leadership
  • Community volunteer activities
​March 1st, 2020​U of W Entrance Scholarship Application Deadline
  • Considered for special Entrance Scholarships
  • Priority course registration in the Fall
  • The university will request final grades from the school
​March 1st, 2020​U of M – Entrance Scholarship deadline
Students should apply before March 1st to ensure that:
  • They are eligble for entrance scholarships
  • Their name will be included on the list of requested grades from the school/school division

A variety of scholarships are offered to graduating students through universities/colleges and private organizations. For most scholarships there are three areas of focus:

  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • School activities and leadership
  • Community volunteer activities

The process of searching out and applying for scholarships is time consuming, but worthwhile. Listed below are some websites that offer information on scholarships and bursaries available to graduating students.
