​​At Sturgeon Heights, we value Vocational Education as a means for students to prepare for various careers within the trades. Our goal is to provide our students with training through education and the use of industry standard tools and equipment.​

​​​​Skills Canada Competition 

On May 26-27th 2022, we had 2 of our students competing Nationally ( virtual)in the Skills Canada Competition.  . They earned the right as Gold medal winners in the Skills Manitoba Contest held last month.  This provincial and national competition is for students in the Skilled trades and Technology areas to compete in over 30 trade and technology related areas.  The medal presentation was held on Saturday  and  Demetrius G earned the gold medal in Electronics.  Lily L competed in the Workplace Safety competition and earned a silver medal in that competition.  More Great news, Demetrius also won the RBC Best of Region award which is given to the top finishing  competitor with the highest score in their respective province secondary or post secondary. Based on %, Demtrius had the highest score in his competition of all the Manitoba competitors.   RBC will be giving Demetrius  $1500.  ​
