The next Math League Math Contest is happening today at lunch in Room 2A3.  Each correct answer enters you in to win a free lunch at the cafeteria. Congratulations to Norman S. who won a free lunch last month.  If you are unable to attend Tuesday at lunch see Mr. JR in room 2A3 to write it at another time (possibly Monday or Wednesday at lunch).

Are you a student enrolled in a FRENCH: Communication & Culture class or a student of French Immersion? Would you like to travel to Paris during spring break in 2028? If you are interested, come to Madame Carvelli's room, 2D6 and write your name on the sign up sheet. More information to follow if there is enough interest. 

This month's Wellness Week is on Healthy Relationships. But you already know that because you did your first lesson first period this morning! The counsellors will be putting on some activities during the lunch hour this week to support the lessons being taught by your teachers. Today come down to the foyer and add your thoughts to the poster on what makes a good friend. They also have a Q&A box set up where you can anonymously ask any relationship questions you have. Answers will be shared on the announcements later this week. Stay well everyone 

Join us at our Vocal Jazz coffee house, this Thursday, February 19 at 7PM in the cafeteria.  You will hear a variety of selections by our vocal jazz students - musical theatre, jazz standards, pop - from David Bowie to Laufey to Fiona Apple!  There are a variety of solos and duets, and the students would LOVE to see you there.  I think it will be about an hour long.  Dainties, punch, and coffee provided by our awesome culinary team. Tickets are only $5.00 and you can purchase them at the  

All students are invited to an exciting new opportunity to expand your horizons by meeting new people from our school, and building new friendships with people from around the world or from your own community. The meeting will take place in the Library on Friday, February 20th at 12:20pm. Get a chance to talk with people and learn about their culture, their interests, and what they do for fun.

I love to read month 

It’s week three of I Love to Read Month! At Sturgeon Heights, we want to know about books you love to read. Use the QR codes outside your English teacher’s classroom to fill out the form to be eligible for Friday’s draw. 

Sports 

Huskies, it’s playoff time! Our boys hockey team hits the ice for game 1 of the quarter Finals Tuesday, February 17 at 4:00 PM on HOME ICE at KW! Let’s defend our den. Pack the stands, bring the energy, and show everyone what Huskie pride sounds like. Go Huskies Go! 

Women's lacrosse tryouts start today from 4:00-5:00 at Canlan. If you are interested in trying out please register at the link in our instagram bio @huskieswlax or see Mr. Watson in 2C2.

Le concours de Mathématiques 

Le prochain concours de mathématiques de la Math League est aujourd’hui à midi dans la salle 2A3. Chaque réponse correcte vous permet de participer pour gagner un déjeuner gratuit à la cafétéria.  

Mois du bien-être 

La Semaine du Bien-être de ce mois-ci porte sur les Relations Saines. Les conseillers organiseront certaines activités à midi cette semaine pour soutenir les leçons enseignées par vos professeurs. Aujourd'hui, venez au foyer et ajoutez vos réflexions sur le poster à propos de ce qui fait un bon ami. Ils ont également mis en place une boîte de questions-réponses où vous pouvez poser anonymement toutes vos questions sur les relations. Les réponses seront partagées dans les annonces plus tard cette semaine. 

Café-concert de jazz 

Rejoignez-nous à notre café-concert de jazz vocal, jeudi prochain, le 19 février à 19h dans la cafétéria. Vous entendrez une variété de morceaux interprétés par nos élèves en jazz vocal - comédie musicale, standards de jazz, pop - de David Bowie à Laufey en passant par Fiona Apple ! Il y aura différents solos et duos, et les élèves seraient ravis de vous y voir. Des friandises, du punch et du café seront fournis par notre incroyable équipe culinaire. Les billets ne coûtent que 5,00 $ et vous pouvez les acheter à l'entrée. 

Les sports 
 

Huskies, c’est le temps des séries ! Notre équipe de hockey des garçons prend la glace pour le match 1 des quarts de finale aujourd’hui à 16h00 à domicile à KW ! Défendons notre territoire! Remplissons les gradins, apportons de l’énergie et montrons à tous la fierté des Huskies ! 

Tournoi d’improvisation 

Notre équipe d'improvisation Husky fera partie d'un autre tournoi d'improvisation contre d'autres écoles en immersion française (soit Stonewall et Oak Park) demain toute la journée, et vous êtes tous invités à descendre au théâtre du CSHC pour y assister, et ce, pour les périodes 2, 3, 5 et 6. 

Club des demandeurs d'emploi  

Rejoignez-nous jeudi midi à la bibliothèque pour la dernière réunion du Club des demandeurs d'emploi. 

Les Amis Sans Frontières 
Tous les élèves sont invités à une nouvelle opportunité passionnante pour élargir leurs horizons en rencontrant de nouvelles personnes de notre école et en créant de nouvelles amitiés avec des gens du monde entier ou de leur propre communauté. La rencontre aura lieu à la Bibliothèque le vendredi 20 février à 12h20. Profitez de l'occasion pour discuter avec des personnes et découvrir leur culture, leurs centres d'intérêt et ce qu'ils font pour le plaisir. Pour plus d'informations, veuillez voir l'un des conseillers. 

Voyage à Paris en 2028 

Es-tu un élève inscrit dans le cours FRENCH: Communication & Culture ou un élève du programme d’Immersion française? Aimerais-tu voyager à Paris pendant le congé de printemps en 2028? Si tu es intéressé(e), viens à la salle 2D6 de Madame Carvelli et inscris ton nom sur la feuille d’inscription. Plus d’informations suivront s’il y a suffisamment d’intérêt.
