Our Homecoming Game in Support of CancerCare Manitoba Foundation quickly approaching. Last year, we raised close to $4000 in 10 days leading up to the game. This year we are hoping we can surpass our goal of $5000.00 in total donations.  The game will take place on Saturday, October 15th, at 1:00 PM, at Sturgeon Heights. All proceeds generated on the day will go directly to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. 

This focus for our homecoming game was started last year after discussions with the team of something we could do to help support a local charity and contribute to something larger than ourselves as just a football team. When it became very evident that almost everyone on the team had a family member or close friend who had dealt with cancer on some way, we ended up working with CancerCare Manitoba Foundation to get the ball rolling.

Cancer (of all types), is something that has affected many us in some way over our lives. Donations like these help CancerCare Manitoba help patients and their families that are dealing with a cancer diagnosis. On the day of the game, admission will be collected in the form of a suggested $5.00 donation but fans are welcome to donate more! All proceeds from admission, 50/50 and the canteen will be put together and donated to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. ​
