​Congratulations to the following three students who represented St. James-Assiniboia School Division at the 2018 Skills Canada competition:

The students all earned gold at the Skills Manitoba competition, held on April 12, to qualify for the National event. Our students did not medal this year but performed well at the competition, which took place in Edmonton at the Expo Centre, June 4 and 5. All three participants are from Collège Sturgeon Heights Collegiate and participated in the competition alongside more than 500 students from all across Canada. The Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) is the only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country. Also connected to Sturgeon Heights, two former students, Riley C. and Kyla H. competed in the post-secondary level of the event. An extended congratulations to our SJASD alumni!
