St. James-Assiniboia Continuing Education connects learners with opportunities. From certification programs that open doors in health care, education, and transportation; to flexible professional development courses that take aspiring professionals to the next level in their careers; to recreational classes that support life-long learning, St. James-Assiniboia Continuing Education helps expand horizons for over 1,000 students each year, right here in West Winnipeg.

| Continuing Education Certificate Programs

Applications are being accepted for the Health Care Aide certificate program (Fall 2026 Intake, part time; and Winter 2027 Intake, full and part-time hybrid), the Health Unit Clerk certificate program (Fall 2026 Intake, part time; and Winter 2027 Intake, full time), and the Educational Assistant certificate program (Fall 2026 Intake, part time). See specific program pages for details.


| Professional Driver Training

Offered in conjunction with the City of Winnipeg, Vehicles for Hire. This course is designed to give students the expertise to be Professional Drivers in Winnipeg. Visit Driver Training for more information or to register.​


| Other Courses

SJASD Continuing Education periodically offers other single courses in CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers Training. We are currently accepting registrations for Food Handling. Visit Other Courses for more information.​​



| Enrichment Classes

SJASD Continuing Education offers a limited number of enrichment leisure classes each year. ConEd is currently offering spring sessions of Dynabody Total Fitness. Visit Enrichment Classes​ for more information.​

St. James-Assiniboia Continuing Education has a partnership with an online provider that enhances our course offerings and meets the varied needs of our students. Online courses are convenient and flexible, allowing students to learn in the comfort of their home or office. See Online Education​ for details.
