Register Your Child for 2023 Football Season, Ages 8+
The St. James Rods Football Club and the Manitoba Minor Football Association (MMFA) are pleased to announce the start of player registration for the 2023 Tackle Football season! The program offer co-ed tackle football in four age groups. The seaoson runs form mid July to end of October. All equipment is included in the registration fee, with the exception of cleats .While games are competitive, the primary focus is on teaching fundamental skills and techniques in a safe and controlled environment. Because of this coaching approach the program is open to anyone regardless of experience.
Register: St. James Rods Football. Visit Kidsport Canada for funding to help offset the cost of participant registration fees.

Your invited to help É​cole Assiniboine celebrate 100 years! Visit classrooms, view old photos, reunite with friends, and learn about the history of the school. On two days: Friday, June 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 3, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.. More details will be shared soon.

Stevenson-Britannia Elementary School 50th Anniversary Celebration, June 7
Come celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Stevenson-Britannia Elementary School on Wednesday, June 7th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Whether you are an alumni, former staff member, parent of a student attending the school or a community member wishing to acknowledge the history of this school, enjoy an evening with live music, a barbecue, yearbooks covering the past 50 years, class photos, face painting, balloon animals, games and activities for the entire family. Witness the opening of our time capsule.

17 Wing Base Kids Camps/Activities and General Recreational Programming, Open to Public
The Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) offers a variety of affordable ​​or free programming to the general public through their off-base recreational facility located at 680 Whytewold Road. Personnel Support Programs (PSP) include: spring break camps, summer camps and hosted birthday parties for kids; fitness classes and drop-in recreational sport activities for older kids and adults; a gym and squash courts; and more.
