The International Student Program at the St. James-Assiniboia School Division welcomes high school students from around the world to study with us in Canada. We are located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, a safe and vibrant city in the centre of North America.
We have four high schools that accept international students from more than 15 countries. These schools offer a wide range of academic courses and special interest classes such as technology and media, performing arts, aviation, business, and sports, as well as many extracurricular activities. Our program staff plan many cultural activities for our international students every month. We place our students in the homes of caring, local families who enjoy inviting students to be a part of their family. Graduates of our Division are well prepared for the most stringent academic demands of Canadian, U.S., and international universities.
| Where Do Our Students Come From?
SJASD’s International Student Program welcomes over 100 international students to Division high schools each year. Students come from dozens of countries, and they are supported by over 50 Homestay families as they transition to life in Winnipeg.
