Recently, the Sturgeon Heights Concert Choir and the St. James Assiniboia Senior Divisional Choir have been brought together under the direction of Avonlea Armstrong-Green, choral teacher at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate to complete a virtual choir project.
“I was looking for a way for the students to keep singing during this time of COVID, and for a way to give them hope during the time of isolation," said Avonlea Armstrong-Green. “I felt that the message of this song spoke perfectly to our situation, reminding us that we are not alone. We are delighted with the final product, and I think it may be encouraging to others as well!"
To create the video, each student learned their vocal part, recorded themselves, and submitted their video. Joel Green, musician and audio engineer, completed the sound editing and Todd Cardinal, media teacher at Sturgeon Heights, prepared the video production.
Enjoy the beautiful vocal music and hard work of Sturgeon Heights Concert Choir and the St. James-Assiniboia Senior Divisional Choir.
