The St. James-Assiniboia International Student Program has an extensive activities program to introduce students to Canadian culture and life in Winnipeg.

We generally have three organized and supervised activities per month, including sports, arts, and cultural events, and meals at local restaurants serving Canadian and international cuisine.
Some of the activities we regularly plan are ice hockey games, Winnipeg Blue Bombers football games, performances of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Manitoba Opera, visits to the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Manitoba Museum, and the Forks.
Winnipeg has a population of over 700,000 and is a secure and friendly with a cosmopolitan lifestyle, offering many different cultural, recreational, and athletic facilities, and many lively and diverse neighbourhoods. Winnipeg is also home to four universities.
In addition to the open prairie landscape, the surrounding area includes lakes, sandy beaches, forests, and hills, which allow students a wide range of year-round activities.
