SJASD would like to mark School Support Staff Recognition Week by thanking the hundreds of support staff members that bolster the work of public education in our schools and buildings.
Thank you to the educational assistants, library technicians, administrative professionals, bus drivers, cleaning staff, maintenance personnel, custodians, IT staff members, lunch supervisors, crossing guards, casual roles, and others that support teaching and learning every day.
These employment groups play a critical role in the K to 12 education system—maintaining daily operations, and creating supportive learning environments where students are engaged and empowered to reach their full potential.
From connecting students with learning, to getting them to school safely, to managing the day-to-day business of school, to ensuring our buildings are clean and well maintained, and more—we couldn't do it without you!
Together with the work of our teachers, substitute teachers, and division administrators, SJASD's school support staff make a vital contribution to the education of students.
